Biography
- Hamed Erfani is a Persian composer, producer, and audio engineer with a Master’s degree in Music Composition from Oklahoma City University, where he received a full talent scholarship and was mentored by Dr. Edward Knight.
- His diverse portfolio includes intimate solo pieces, ensemble works, pop production, film scores, Persian folk music, and orchestral compositions. Hamed’s music is distinguished by the fusion of his technical compositional expertise with the cultural richness of his Persian heritage, blended seamlessly with modern electronic music elements. In addition to his composition work, Hamed is an accomplished audio engineer and music producer. With a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, he possesses a strong foundation in sound design and production, overseeing every stage of the music creation process—from composition to final mix and mastering. His work has been performed by a variety of musicians and is available on YouTube, as well as on major streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Hamed was appointed OKYO Composer-in-Residence for the 2024-25 season and is the recipient of the Rick McKee Composition Prize.
